- What is the price?
Appleheadshots start at $159.00 + HST.
- Do you offer group rates?
Yes, we offer new client intro rates, group rates and headshot blocks to all of our clients.
- Where is your studio located?
We shoot the majority of our headshots at our Halifax studio. We are located at 1673 Barrington Street, 3rd floor but we can also come to you and shoot on location.
- What is included in the price?
Every headshot photography session includes the photo shoot, online proofing process, pro retouching and a final, full resolution digital file with a full license to use the image wherever you’d like. We’ll upload your final shot right to your private gallery.
- What if I want more than 1 final shot?
If you’re looking for a few different looks, no problem. You can add additional shots at $49.00/each
- Do you shoot in colour or black + white?
We shoot all of our Applehead shots in digital, colour format but can easily give you black and white final images if that’s what you would prefer.
- How long does the shoot take?
5 minutes. That’s it.
- Do you provide hair + makeup?
Based on years of experience, this is what we tell people: if ‘hair and makeup’ isn’t your thing, don’t get it done before your headshot. Come as you are! If you’d like recommendations, just book Vicky. Vicky Mina Makeup. We’ve been working with her for almost 15 years. Book Vicky! We have stopped recommending Hair because it can be such a personal decision, but the same advice stands as with makeup; don’t try anything new for your headshot. (unless you’re daring and we very much welcome that too…and there’s always retakes, right?)
- How do I select my final shot?
At the end of the shoot, we’ll upload all of your proofs into a private, online gallery and email you the link. From there, you can sift through on your own time and pick out your favourite shot.
- Are the final images touched up?
Yes! When your final selection is made, Steph will work her magic and fully edit each final image.Yes. We can shoot Appleheadshots on a greenscreen, white or black backdrop and we’ll help you decide the best choice based on how and where you’re going to be using your image.
- What should I wear for my Appleheadshot?
That’s entirely up to you but we recommend you try and avoid loud patterns or logos. For most corporate headshots, attire will reflect that of your own corporate culture so if you’re a suit+tie or blazer kind of company, dress in that direction. If you’re in a more laid back corporate culture, feel free to bring the leather jacket and t shirt! If you’re not sure, bring a few options and we’ll help you out when you get here.
- Can you do group shots?
We can and we have a great way to photograph your corporate team that keeps it simple for everyone and you don’t even have to be here at the same time. Contact us for details.
- Can you come to our office and shoot headshots?
We can certainly do that! Contact us and we’ll help you figure out some options for your group.
- “I hate having my picture taken!”
We know! That’s what everyone says as soon as they come through the door…but forget everything you think you know about a headshot. We’re not like all the rest!
- Do I have a choice of backdrops?
Yes. While the most common is white, we can do custom colours and offer a variety of ‘blurry background environments’. Many clients will select one pose on 3-5 different backgrounds.
