It’s not until the dress comes off and the makeup wipes lay, dried and piled up, on the bathroom floor that you realize, “I just fucking dressed up like a lady and now we’re going to put it on the Internet.”

Here’s the truth: you’re the best. You. You make weddings what they are. Your vision, your friends, your family and your open bars + drink tickets. Your dogs, your kids, your druncle and your third cousin’s crazy new girlfriend…these are ‘The BEST’ of weddings.
That time you played the Phil Collins, In the Air Tonight drum solo on Steve’s ass on the party bus and that time you fell in the water when you tried to grab onto the side of a canoe to get in…the BEST. Those tattoos in Mexico, the egg salad sandwiches with the crusts cut off and the shot ski….oh man, the shot ski…the BEST of weddings.
All the times I have to keep the camera in front of my face and pretend I’m still shooting because I have tears in my eyes from listening to your Dad’s speech, also the Best. The way you rub the back of his head as he too fights back the tears as his father’s words fill the room…the best.
We love the way you hold your hands and flick your fingers while your dress is being laced up. We love it when you whisper and smile at each other as your best man signed the marriage license and we really love it when you reach down and grab his ass when you don’t think anyone is watching.
You’re the best. You’re fucking amazing and we can’t thank you enough for letting us get so close and just let us do what we do.
I know, right? Look away, we’re hideous! THIS, my friends, is what weddings would look like without you!
