i have a favor to ask you. it’s not like me to ask you to do something for me like this but it would mean a lot. i’m not one to ask you to leave a comment, cast a vote or sign up for some crazy pyramid scheme. I figure if you have something to say, you will. i put this stuff up here for you. i’m just glad you keep coming back. so thanks!

so a funny story before I ask you for something.

I delivered a dvd to a client today at his office. Big office, big lobby, lots of people all around. Dropped in for a few minutes and split. I left feeling pretty happy because Christian liked the shoot so much he wanted every image (thanks buddy). So I left with a strut and a smile…until i walked my smug little mug right into a giant glass door. I didn’t just bump into it. I smashed right into that thing. my lenses popped out of my glasses, my hat came flyin off, I smashed my face, drove my teeth into my lip and was stunned…wishing I had just witnessed someone else doing what I had just done.

the lobby fell silent.

i picked up my lenses, envelope of cash, my hat and my pride and said, “wow, thats clean glass” and left with my tail between my legs. i can laugh because I know I’m not the first person to forget the door or the screen. i hope the 15 or so people in the lobby enjoyed it!

ok, so here’s what I’m asking you to do:

I’ve entered a few images in a contest. Its the Top Knots: The New School of Wedding Photography Contest put on by PDN Photo Magazine. I’ve entered a few images in a few different categories but there is one image in particular that I’d love to see get a few votes. I’ll post the same image at the end of this blog. Its the People Choice vote that counts the most. I dont care about prizes.

Its simple to vote. Just click on the link below, enter your email address and cast your vote. While I’m a fan of the 4 images I entered, I’d really like to see Sean + Linday’s image get some attention. It’s a pretty sexy image and its one I had in my head all day and ended up coming out better than I had hoped for. It just needs a few votes to get it near the top so more people can see it and hopefully get some more votes. that’s it. will you do that for me? please? will you tell someone else to do it too?

tell you what…if that image hits 300 votes (and I know there’s more than 300 of you that come here every day so thats an easy goal)…i’ll post an image of me right here on this blog in nothing but black chucks, tattoos and a billabong hat. how’s that for a new kind of boudoir photography? dudoir!
