I got a text from my mom tonight while I was at the studio. It said, “Did you know that that guy from Say Yes to the Dress is going to be at the bridal show!?”
When Marcia and the girls got home, Marse asked me what time her and Lola could come in on Sunday to see Randy Fenoli.
At ten o’clock tonight Marse and I watched an all new Say Yes to the Dress.
There’s a buzz in my house for the wedding show this weekend but I think I’m the one who’s the most excited. We live like Carnies for a few days every year at this time. Borrowing trucks and movin’ into this little space with hundreds of other people to set up your own little spot for a few hours and then rip er back down and move off to the next show. I do this while Marse hangs out w the girls and does the cooking, cleaning, diaper changing, bathing, bed timing, getting up-ing, entertaining and not one bit of compaining. I love you Marse. I’ll see you Monday.
So as it turns out, husbands are actually the reason that women get together in groups and go out. It’s been happening for years. The bridal shower, the baby shower, the bachelorette party, the sexy girl party and my favorite, ‘let’s just get together and drink wine on the first Monday of every Month’ party.
Knowing this, I was still surprised when inquiries about group boudoir shoots started to come in. Not an actual group shot…but a group of friends who wanted to come in together and make a night out of it. By the end of the evening everyone wanted their own individual boudoir collection. A few phone calls and a studio redesign later and Jeff Cooke and I came up with the idea for The Boudoir Collective.
So if you’re going to see Randy Fenoli at the show this Sunday come by and check out the Boudoir Collective. Say Yes to the unDress.
