no images…just a really awesome story to tell you.
I got a call from Christa at Felicity Bridal in Halifax about a month ago. She had a bride who had just purchased a beautiful wedding dress and was getting married on January 3oth. She was planning to get a few friends to take some photos for her…that is, until Christa told her there was no way she could let a dress like that go without the necessary photographic attention.
The bride was getting married in January because her Dad had been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and they wanted him to be there to see her get married. After Mom’s recent battle, this struck a soft spot with me and I jumped at the opportunity to shoot for the bride (who will remain nameless simply for privacy).
Then I got a call on Monday. The bride told me that they were moving the wedding up to Janaury 9th…because she wanted her Dad to be there. To my deep disapointment I was not able to shoot simply because I will be in Florida for the Disney Marathon. If it was anything else I would have changed plans but it just wasn’t possible.
I knew the location of the wedding and the ceremony, the feel and tone of the day and I knew there was one couple who could capture it perfectly. Matt & Chera Yorke. Moncton’s finest Wedding photographers.
I dropped them a line, told them the situation and today they told me they’d be happy to do it!
I could not be happier for the bride and groom and I’m happy to call Chera & Matt friends. They’re travelling up from Moncton in January to cover this very special time for a complete stranger, not for profit, but as a favor. If you’ve never seen their site, I encourage you to check them out. They are the finest of people and amazing photographers.
Thanks Matt & Chera. very much!

make sure you add their photos on your blog (the link) in Jan – would love to see them.
Awesome story. Kudos to Christa for having the foresight to call you and get the ball rolling.
