Serendipity means a “fortunate happenstance” or “pleasant surprise”.
Through an unfortunate series of events, a September date had opened up for us last year and we found ourselves in a position to turn a negative into a positive. We decided to offer up our services, free of charge, for a yet to be determined couple who was getting married on this date.
Jonelle had emailed me (before she was engaged…but thats a secret so don’t tell anyone) about shooting her wedding and the circumstances just didn’t allow for it. We parted ways with pleasant email and both figured that was that.
Over a year later we had this September date open up…the same date Jonelle + Brennan were getting married.
We opened up this offer online and invited anyone getting married to drop us a line with their story. It was overwhelming and something we’ll defintely be doing again…but this one couple kept coming up. We got email from her bridesmaids from BC to CB. Even Katelyn Hipson from the Hali famous Elegant Productions dropped us a line to say this was a match made in heaven.
…and it truly was. The stress meters were low and the love meters were off the charts. The tears flowed all day and that night when everyone let down their hair, all of mine stood up on end. This was an incredible celebration we had the good fortune to be involved in.
Jonelle + Brennan, (even though neither of you are on facebook), we love you to death. I’m so glad we’ve become to kind of friends that stay out so late that some of us show up to work late the next day.
