we’ve had so much going on the last little while that when it came time to getting some blog images up…i just wasn’t feeling it. so in an effort to be true what this is all about I haven’t posted anything for a little while. i dont want to post just for the sake of posting. if i’m going to ramble on here and try to entertain you…its gotta have some meaning for me..and hopefully for you.
so tonight i’m feelin it.
i’ve been saying forever that ‘the studio is almost done’. i guess i feel it will be done when the images are on the wall and I finally find a chair that I’m happy with! i’ve done a bunch of viewing sessions and the best part of them is that they turn into social events and an opportunity to hang out with clients who have become friends. like last nite…and the nite before…and the nite before that. The best part is no one else is in the building at 10pm and you can crank Supersonic and run a Crazy Booth Experience slideshow without bothering a soul. Mike and Anita (and Max) and I watched it over and over last nite laughing harder each time. i’m hoping they give me permission to post it really soon…hint hint. more images of Mike and Anita in the next few days..
I’ve been wanting to post a few images from Sean + Sarah’s wedding for weeks now. After I got an email from Judy, Sarah’s mom, earlier this week I was all over it. One of my favorite series of images of their wedding was when Judy saw Sarah in her dress for the first time. In her email Judy explained to me all that was going on in her head all at that one time. It brought tears to my eyes. I realized that its not always the post processing work that makes an image ‘awesome’ or ‘beautiful’…its the simplicity (or complexity i suppose) of that raw moment captured in time.
this leads well into my favorite image of the wedding. i’m not going to try and sugar coat it and tell you it was kinda raining that day. it was pouring sideways rain and the wind ruined many an umbrella. As we stood under cover of an old, doorless barn on Sean’s property I changed cards in my camera and Sean + Sarah just hung out in the doorway.
Howling winds and driving rain do not ruin a wedding and the look on Sarah’s face is all you need to see to believe that.
these are some of my favorite images ever. the first series with her mom and the emotion, and the last one in the doorway. i don’t even know them and i feel like i’m going to cry! very well done Liam!
Beautiful shots once again.
Permission granted by the way.
That last photo is fantastic!
