its funny how life rolls out sometimes. you stay up late at night reading, planning, plotting, organizing and trying to shape everything the way you think it should be and a lot of times it pays off. sometimes it doesn’t.
sometimes you just need to belive that what you’re doing is right and if you keep doing it things will fall into place.
today was one of those days.
marse & i set some goals for ourselves and Applehead Studio a while back. we set some short term, some long term and of course…the dreamers goals. the ‘reach for the stars’ kind of goals that no one will see but you write em down on paper anyway. like those cheques people write to themselves for 1 million dollars that someday they hope to cash.
well, we didn’t write any cheques but we wrote down and often talked about this dreamer goal. we’d go for a run and talk about ‘what if…’. we’d drive into town and laugh and say, ‘can you imagine if…’ never expecting but always dreaming like little kids.
so tonight a part of that dream began to manifest itself in the form of a dinner meeting that sadly, Marcia had to miss because she’s in Toronto for a meeting. of course, this is another one of those “I can’t tell you anything yet” scenarios. yeah, i know, Boo. it’s one of those things you can’t really make happen, it just happens…and while nothing has actually happened yet, it’s happening now. if it does really happen it will change our lives in amazing ways that we only dreamed about on 25km runs when our minds would wander.
but I digress yet again.
here’s a few videos my ole buddy Brian Larter shot while we were shooting Cheryl’s Trash the Dress shoot in Halifax. If you listen carefully you can also hear Tanya Shields chirping in the background too. when you drop a gorgeous bride in the mud, its best to have your friends around to participate!
it’s a bit of a crazy week as we put the final-ish touches on the studio (I hate picking out furniture), Marse is in TO, Lola is hangin at her Gam’s and learnin to walk, Mom has the (not swine) flu and I’m just posting a few weddings and boudoir shoots for clients…so please excuse my lack of attention to the blog. I’ve got some really cool images from Geoff + Tara’s wedding at Domaine de Grand Pre last Saturday coming up as well as some smokin hot boudoir stuff. if we can keep Lola the weeble wobble up long enough we’ll even try to get some walkin pics too. just when you think you can’t love your kids any more…they blow your mind.
I’m sorry I’ve been ignoring you. Its not you, its me.
thanks Cheryl, Mark, Tanya and Brian! I’m still a little depressed that we burned the dress down to the zipper.
great stuff! thanks for posting these. good to hear a familiar voice!
