About a year ago I went to PEI with my very talented photographer friends, Jeff Cooke and Heather Crosby-Gionet. We did somewhat of a trash the dress marathon over 15 hours. I shot some behind the scenes video and we hung out with some very creative and talented people from the Island.
Through the magic of Facebook someone found that video online and thought it would be interesting to shoot a pilot based on three wedding photographers. The next thing you know we’re in a production meeting w ArcadiaEntertainment and planning to shoot a pilot.
So you would think I’d be on my best behaviour in a first meeting with talented people who are willing to invest time and money into you. No, not me. I had picked up a bug from the girls and wasn’t feeling all the best but I fought my way through the meeting. As we were getting the tour of the studio I awkwardly excused myself to go down three flights of stairs, run down the driveway and throw up in the back parking lot. I then spent the next half hour curled up and shivering in the backseat of my car until Jeff and Heather came out and Marcia came to pick me up. Great first impression Applehead.
We found out today that we could finally show the teaser video we shot at Studio 2540 last February. I think we lived up to expectations because we smashed some gear, threw a bride off a ladder, threw a bride off a trampoline and threw feathers at another bride.
I’m a huge fan of these collaborative shoots, especially w good friends like Jeff and Heather. It’s a lot of fun to combine different ideas and personalities into one shoot. As Jeff puts it, Adult Contemporary, Top 40 and Rock n Roll.
Thanks you John Wesley Chisholm and the entire crew at Arcadia for taking an interest in what we do and giving us this opportunity to just hang out and shoot together.
Christa and the girls at FelicityBridal never let us down when it comes to a bridal shoot. Thank you so much Christa for trusting us with any dresses we ever ask you for!
