Terra + Shawn: a Halifax Wedding at the always incredible Lord Nelson Hotel.

Are you like me? Do you check out the odd wedding photography blog from time to time? Ever notice how every photographer gushes about how awesome every couple is? “Oh so and so were just a pleasure to work with and I’m so lucky. I love my job” bla bla bla

Well, it’s the truth!

I wish I would come across the odd bridezilla every now and then just to get a new angle on the blog…but alas, you will not see that here today with Terra and Shawn.

So laid back. So stress free and so much fun. You’d think if one of your bridesmaids pops the cork and spills champagne all over herself there’d be some drama…but oh no. Terra and the girls just laughed it off and cleaned Jennie right back to normal.

The highlight of the day for me was walking into (I forget the name of the church) on Brunswick St for the first time. CRIPES!!! What an incredible church. So much texture and colour…and so many people staring right at me, silently…waiting. I love it when a bride is a few (just a few) minutes late for the ceremony. The anticipation builds and I can tell you (because I was a groom) that waiting for your soon to be wife to round that corner and walk down the aisle is one of the greatest feelings in the world.

I shot w Terra and her bridesmaids a really really long time ago for what I can now say was probably my first boudoir photography styled shoot. If I get permission from the ladies I’ll post it here. (ladies? yes?)

Shawn, well, I wish I had his demeanor. So laid back and cool headed all the time. I could have sat and played foosball and drank Stella w him and the boys all afternoon.
