Slang.
1.a stupid, mean, or contemptible person.
2. the worst part of a place or thing.
That’s me, for forgetting to tell you that Steph was named one of the Top 30 Under 30 Photographers in Canada by the Canada Photo Convention…for the second year in a row.
That’s a pretty big deal!
Did I post about it? No. Did we get her a cake? No. Balloons? No. Office party? Nope.
So, while it may be late, the pride remains the same. I could go into some long story about how you first came in for an interview so shy in your cheerleading sneakers and one word answers or about how you used to shoot just the backs of peoples heads or how you couldn’t color balance a grey card…or that time you puked behind a van before we went on set for a shoot with a supermodel. Oh, hey, remember that time we went to Paris and you thought it would be fun to shoot everything in JPG?
Then I’d have to balance the story so people wouldn’t think I was mean. I’d have to tell stories about how your passion and determination and drive are so strong it sometimes brings you to tears. I’d have to mention all the awards and accolades and tell them about all your good ideas and how you always go above and beyond for everyone, always. I’d have to mention how you’ve played a major role in the success of this place over the past few years.
I mean, I could write all that stuff but…anyone who knows you, already knows all this stuff anyway
